So it’s really not a surprise for the town to hold its annual Three Rivers Art Festival each and every year in November. The festival is an amazing chance to get our and meet local artists, and it has over 200 invited participants every year.

What is the Covington Three Rivers Art Festival?

Covington’s Three Rivers Art Festival is a vibrant celebration of art where artists showcase works in every medium like ceramics, oil paintings, photography, fiber art, woodworking, metalwork, sculptures, jewelry, and much more. You name it, they have it.

Amazing artists from all over the US show up to be a part of this high-quality art festival. Even though local artists are well represented, the festival attracts talent from as far away as Virginia each year. Even beginners can join the festival as there is no fee to join this amazingly fun-filled local event and even the parking is free of charge. If you’re an artist, all you have to do is bring your artwork, register, and show the world how good you are at your passion.

Covington is often blessed with the perfect weather during November, which makes the event even better. The picturesque and historic buildings of downtown Covington provide a beautiful backdrop for the arts festival that attracts as many as 50,000 visitors each fall.

What’s in it for the whole family?

Covington’s Three Rivers Art Festival isn’t just for art enthusiasts as aside from art booths, the event also has a Children’s Discovery Area and an art demonstration tent where visitors can watch artists make pottery or blow glass. And since it’s Louisiana, there is always food and music.

In this annual event, culinary arts are represented as much as the visual arts where local restaurants, food trucks, and vendors serve everything from turkey gumbo to deep-fried brownies!

This year’s Three Rivers Festival will be held on November 10-11, 2018 so mark your calendars. See you there!
